Larry G. Covey Sr.

Larry G. Covey, Sr., 67, of Rittman, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center after a brief illness. Larry was born on Oct. 12, 1956 in Branchland, WV to Ray and Emogene (Hatfield) Covey and married Linda Shipe on Nov. 30, 1986 and they made their home in Rittman. Larry could fix about anything after a lifetime of tinkering and having retired from his self-owned truck driving endeavors. A trait he proudly passed on to anyone who would listen, especially his sons. Spending more time at home, he showed his love through cooking and baking and sharing and spending time with family and grandchildren. Surviving is his wife, Linda; children and their spouses, Larry Jr. and Bonita Covey, Michael and Lindsay Covey and Sandra and Rayne Sanders; his grandchildren, Darian Gentry, Austin Covey, Zetta Covey and soon expected William Axl Sanders and a sister, Ruth Ann.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call on Thursday, May 9th from 5-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral  Home in Creston.  A private family graveside service will be held on Friday at Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
