Larry T. Bing

Larry T. Bing of Rittman, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the Sanctuary in Wadsworth, Ohio after a brief illness.

Larry was born on Aug. 1, 1946, in Logan, WV to Lucian and Mary (Mills) Bing and married the love of his life, Judy A. Boyd on Dec. 21, 1963. Larry retired from the Packaging Corp. of American in Rittman and had made his home in Rittman most of his life.

Preceded in death by his father and mother; 3 sisters, Lois Clason, Darlene Pauley and Barbara Walker, 4 brothers, Lucian Jr., Rayburn, Appie and Edgel and a great-grandson Wilem, he is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Judy; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Thomas Hilsheimer of Florida; grandson and his wife, Larry M. and Jan Bing of Rittman; great-grandchildren, Carson Bing, Sofia Bing, Noah Smith and Fela Sheers; great great-granddaughter, Everly Bing and a brother, Douglas Bing of Wooster. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Larry was an avid softball player and hunter who enjoyed fishing in Canada in recent and past years. He was a very family-oriented man and loved traveling to West Virginia with his wife, Judy for many family reunions over the years.

Larry was a lifetime member of the Rittman Moose Lodge #860 where he had lots of loving friends that felt like family. If Larry saw someone in need, he was always there to lend a helping hand. He also loved many years of gardening and doing lawn care.

Larry and Judy enjoyed mornings on the front porch, sipping coffee and each other’s company when weather permitted. Most evenings they would enjoy drives in the country just to spot deer grazing in the fields. One a week was a visit to Amish Country to some of their favorite shops and restaurants.

Larry was a loving man who was a great husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend to many. He is now in the arms of his mother and many other family members and friends. He will be missed by many but never forgotten.

Friends may call Wednesday, April 15th from 4-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, Ohio. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 18th at 1:00 p.m. at Morris Funeral Home in Wayne, WV where friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Vaughan-Mills Cemetery.
