Wooster

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of a man that can't be duplicated, Larry Bellman Sr. of Wooster, Ohio. At age 77 Larry passed away peacefully at home on June 26, 2022 at 4:09 AM surrounded by loved ones. Larry was born on April 1, 1945  in Holmes County with his twin sister Lora who preceded him in death along with his father and mother Virgil and Iota and several siblings. Larry was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend to many. He loved auto racing and watching his son Larry Jr race, road trips and his country music. Playing checkers with his daughter Lori or going on their special dinner dates, watching his tv shows, gardening, making his special recipes for people and eating his daughter Denise's homemade cooking. Also, playing with his great-grandbabies and watching videos of them dancing around. He especially enjoyed his fishing trips with his Riling Boys on the beaches of The Outer Banks, sharing his Bob Evans banana bread with Jaci (JT), telling jokes with Abigail and joking around making people smile. He frequently video chatted with Kaylee and he looked forward to and enjoyed those special moments they shared. Larry left an impact on everyone he came across and what you saw was what you got, a genuine man with a heart of gold.  A hard worker throughout his entire life that included farm work, oil field work and truck driving. Survived by his wife, Phyllis (Edgell) Bellman and their children, Lori Bellman, Larry (Cindee) Bellman, Ron Bellman & Family, Denise and Matt Riling. Grandchildren, Kevin Bellman, Blake & Katlyn Bellman, Kaylee & Alec Boyd, Clayton & Jaci Riling, Ethan Riling & Abigail Curry, Tiny (Lloyd) Riling, and Gabrielle Schimpff. Great-grandchildren, Paisley and Oakley Bellman, Bonnibel Boyd and Ivar Riling and siblings Cheryl (Bellman) Plough and Phyllis (Bellman) Carter. At a later time there will be services at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Wooster, Ohio with his Christian Brothers and Sisters and a Celebration of Life for family and friends to be scheduled in the near future by his son Larry Bellman Jr. Instead of flowers, send the family would ask that you plant something in honor of Larry. He loved gardens and planting flowers outside so, plant an extra green pepper, tomato, jalapeno plant or something that brings beauty and joy to look at. Photos, favorite memories and condolences may be shared with Denise Riling or Lori Bellman on social media or on Murray Funeral Home-Creston obituary page for Larry.
