Lanny R. Reynolds, 69, of Creston, Ohio, passed away July 20, 2022 after a brave & courageous battle with cancer. Even though this dreadful uncurable disease took him from us, he was the true winner in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He fought so hard and never gave up, even against all odds. He faced this illness with courage & dignity, fighting for tomorrow, even when the fight seemed impossible. Having a fighting spirit means disease can never really win; it only wins if it takes the heart. His heart is here with all his friends and family. He was a devoted friend to so many. Lanny is an inspiration and hero to everyone.
Lanny taught us many lessons, especially the true meaning of what is important in life. He was & always will be loved by everyone who knew him. He made an impact on so many lives. He will always be our hero. Lanny enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a huge football & basketball fan, enjoyed going to the stockcar races, & helping others. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. He loved being a father and was so proud of his children. He was looking forward to becoming a grandfather to his first grandchild, Athena, who will be born in October. He is our strength, our life, our everything.
Lanny graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 1971. Lanny worked at GTE. He then went on to work at SA Comunale, where he was a truly dedicated and valued employee & friend.
Lanny was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Ruth (Pope) Reynolds, brothers: Gene Reynolds & Gerry Reynolds, & cherished daughter, Stacy Reynolds.
Lanny is survived by his high school sweetheart & beloved wife of 50 years, Judy (Weber) Reynolds; Cherished son & light of his life, Scott & wife Doreen Reynolds, & Grand Baby Athena Reynolds, of Miami Beach, Fl. He also leaves his special siblings, sister, Lynn (Joe) Russell of Lodi and five brothers, Larry Reynolds of Wadsworth, David (Connie) Reynolds of Rittman, Duane (Arlene) Reynolds of Burbank, Bill (Leslie) Reynolds of Lodi, and Joe (Joyce) Reynolds of Paris, OH.
