Kenneth Dean Murray

Kenneth Dean Murray, 92, of Rittman, passed away early on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020 at his home after a brief illness.

Kenneth was born Jan. 5, 1928 near Smithville to the late Tully and Neva (Rennecker) Murray and was a graduate of Smithville High School.  He had been a trucker driver for many years having retired at the age of 83.  He had operated Murray’s Bicycle Repair and had done tractor restoration as well as participated in tractor pulls.

He is survived by his children, Richard L. (Peggy) Murray of Florida; Dennis E. Murray of Rittman, Scott M. (Wendy) Murray of Burbank, Sharon (David) Crist of Archdale, NC and Brian D. (Elizabeth) Murray of Barberton; daughter-in-law, Kathy Murray of Medina; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, David (Rose Marie) Murray of Wooster and sisters, Dorothy Schaffter of Wooster and Marilyn (Ray) Aspinall of Orrville.

He was preceded in death by a son, Galen E. Murray, a grandson, brothers, Adin and Wayne  Murray and sisters, Helen Steiner and Grace Murray.
