Kathleen Ann "Kathy" (Tanner) Hamilton

Kathleen Ann “Kathy” Hamilton, 55, of Norton went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022 at Akron City Hospital after a brief illness.

Kathy was born on March 18, 1967 in Orrville to Shirley and Betty (McCune) Tanner and attended Norwayne High School.  On Dec. 31, 2010 she married Timothy W. Hamilton and Tim survives.  Kathy had worked in the retail business for 25 years having worked as a manager of several stores and was a licensed officiant, having enjoyed being able to perform weddings.  She loved doing crafts, camping and doing genealogy but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

Surviving is her husband, Tim; her sons, Jonathon Tanner of Sterling and Timothy (Kayla) Cyrus of Creston; a step-son, Jonathon (Alix) Hamilton of Akron; three grandchildren, Skyler and Jonathon Tanner and Kinsley Hamilton; her mother, Betty Tanner of Creston; a sister, Pam (Earnest McCune) Yost of Sterling; a niece, Keri Yost; a nephew, Brian Yost and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Shirley Tanner and her step-father, Gregory Tanner.

Services will be Monday, Aug. 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
