Katherine Marie (Shuck) Killough

Katherine Marie “Kathy” Killough, 58, of Rittman, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024 after a time of failing health.

Kathy as born on Sept. 22, 1966 in Canton to the late Edward and Stacy (Hylton) Shuck and was a 1985 graduate of Rittman High School.  On December 4, 1987 she married James Killough and they shared almost 37 years together.  Kathy had worked at Plastipak, Browns Cleaners, at Rittman High School and at Goodwill.  She had attended Rittman Community Freewill Baptist Church and lived for her family.  She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their band shows, softball and football games and she loved family reunions when everyone she loved was together.  She enjoyed eating out and her favorite place to go was the Golden Coral.  Kathy will be forever missed.

Surviving is her husband, Jim; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Cory Cottrell and their children, Mackenzie, Nicholas and Matilyn Grace; her brothers and sisters, Charles Shuck, Pam (Ray) Cottrell, Karen Moore and Greg Shuck and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew on Nov. 18, 2013; sisters, Patricia Heffelman and Loretta Jervis and 3 nephews and a niece.

Services will be Friday, Oct. 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with her uncle, Pastor Harold Hylton officiating.  Burial will be in Rittman Cemetery.  Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the Funeral Home.
