Katherine J. Gallion

November 16, 1936 — July 18, 2019

Katherine J. “Kay” Gallion, 82, of Marshallville, passed peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 18, 2019 after a brief illness.

Kay was born Nov. 16, 1936 in Lodi to the late George and Dorothy (Keener) Emerson and had made her home in the Lodi, Sullivan and Creston area most or her life.  She was a member of the Wadsworth Eagles and love spending time with her many friends at the Eagles and with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed playing Bingo and vacations at the Outer Banks.

Surviving are her children, Edward (Robyn) Silves of River Styx, Les Emerson of Dover, Gary Silves of West Salem, Julie Pratt of Rittman, Shelley (Marvin) Pack of Smithville and Cindy Gabler of Marshallville; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Bisanz of Eureka, IL; many nieces and nephews and her dog, Trooper and her cat, Snickers.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, George and Charles Emerson and her sister, Margaret Jeffers.

Services will be Tuesday, July 23rd at 5:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 3:00 until time of services.  Interment will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  Tributes may be  shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
