Julia "Judy" Porter

Julia “Judy” Porter, 92, of Creston, died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Smithville-Western Care Center after a period of declining health. Judy was born March 31, 1925 in Maynard, OH to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Gustavik) Evanovich and was married to Roy C. Porter who preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1979. She had worked at Gaylord’s Dept. Store and at Nabisco Brands and was a member of Wadsworth Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Judy enjoyed cooking and flower gardening. Surviving are her children, Ronald (Beverly) Bryski of Parma, Carol (Robert) Zanzano of Brunswick and Sandra (Philip) Crumpler of Zephyrhills, FL; 5 grandchildren, Jessica Bryski, Holly Corwon, Ryan Zanzano, Carey Ann Carey and Kristi Ward; 6 great-grandchildren, Violet Young, Ryan, Rowan and Isabella Jean Zanzano and Logan and Jacob Ward and a sister, Antonia Jensen of Land O’ Lakes, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, Frank, Walter, Dan, Emil and Henry and a sister, Rose Janoski, Services will be Friday, March 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Don Schar officiating. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
