Judy Kay Jaquet

September 2, 1950 — August 21, 2016

Judy Kay Jaquet, 65 of Fredericksburg went home to be with the Lord Aug. 21 following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Wooster on Sept. 2, 1950 to Maywood (Bill) Morris and Dorothy (Sargeant) Morris. She married Larry Jaquet on Nov. 14, 1992. He survives.

She graduated from Triway High School in 1969. Judy had a passion for working with children and taught preschool at Noah’s Ark in Orrville for 12 years. She attended DayBreak Community Church in Wooster and was involved in various church activities. She enjoyed square dancing with the Gnat Boxers Square Dance Club, spending time with family, and making scrapbooks for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Adam (Stephanie) Chenevey of Milan and Matt (Jayme) Chenevey of Springfield, IL; step-son, Matt (Pat) Jaquet of Ashland; step-daughter, Tiffany (Greg) Oldaker of Wooster; grandchildren Amy and Tyler Jaquet, Alexandria and Colton Oldaker, Abbey and Katelyn Chenevey, Claire Chenevey; great-grandson Jacob Jaquet; sister, Carol Root (John Good) of Wooster; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary (Keith) Metz of Wooster and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray (Donna) Jaquet of Wooster; nieces and nephews, and numerous family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother David Morris, and an infant son Joseph Chenevey.

Services will be Saturday, Aug. 27 at 5:30 p.m. at Day Break Community Church, 342 Nold Ave, Wooster, with Pastor Richard Frazier officiating. Friends and family will be received from 4 to 5:30 p.m.at the church. Final resting place will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Life Care Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd, Wooster, OH, 44691. Arrangements are being handled by Murray Funeral Home in Creston.
