Judith Ann Evans, 73, of Medina, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
Judy was born Jan. 16, 1949 in Tucson, AZ to Richard and Rebecca (Thompson) Vosburgh and was a 1967 graduate of Elyria High School. On June 22, 1968 she married Donal G. Evans and he preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 2014. She will be fondly remembered as “Miss Judy” by the many children that she provided daycare in her home over the years and she was well known for the many cakes she baked for many special occasions for people. Judy was a faithful member of the Church of God of Medina where she taught Sunday School and was the youth leader for many years.
Surviving are her children, Lori Maibach, Jennifer (Brian) Formhals, John (Xiaojie) Evans and Rachel (Sam) Fowler; 7 grandchildren, Ben and Kendal Maibach, Brad, Alex and Scott Formhals, Olivia Evans and Trey Fowler; sisters, Becky (John) Scheutzow and Bonnie (Terry) Stokley and a host of family and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her parents; a son-in-law, Jay Shook and a grandson Jay R. Shook.
Services will be Tuesday, March 15th at 11:00 at the Church of God of Medina with Pastor Michael Miller officiating. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, March 14th from 5-8 p.m. at the church.
