Joshua Albert DiPietro, age 45, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.
Josh was born in Elyria on Aug. 31, 1977 to Kathryn DiPietro and Edward Pluta. He was a man of all trades. There wasn’t much he couldn’t do but he loved working as a mechanic. He could fix just about everything whether it was broke or not. Friends and family would say Josh moved at 100 miles per hour, he was ready for anything at any time. Josh was mischief with a smile. He loved teasing his wife and kids, always trying to make them laugh. He had a unique sense of humor and was full of sarcasm. He used to pick his kids up from school with his windows down playing heavy metal with the volume all the way up. His kids would call and ask “Where are you?” and he would answer with “Ohio!” One of his favorite sayings on the road was “If you’re feeling froggy, jump!” He had a great appreciation for Rock Music and driving fast. Josh taught all of his kids how to drive, from how to do a burnout to how to drive standard, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t teach them. He always said “Drive fast, take chances.” He had the least to give but always gave the most. Josh was one of a kind even in the darkest of days and lowest parts in life. If Josh was there he was making the most of it. He will be remembered as a crazy, fun, and down for anything person and anyone that knew him would say the same.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda (Murphy) DiPietro; his three children, Christopher (Jossalyn) DiPietro, Katelynn DiPietro and Wyatt DiPietro; a granddaughter, Alaia DiPietro; his mother and step-father, Kathryn and Carl Peters; sisters, Emily (Rhett) Couch and Jennifer Thompson and many friends and family. His father preceded him in death.
