Johnny Cline Hatfield, 74, of Homerville, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018 at his home after a lengthy illness.
Johnny was born Sept. 5, 1944 in Cabell, Co., WV to the late Ode and Bertha (Ross) Hatfield and married the love of his life, Evelyn Charlene Bushee on Dec. 25, 1964 and together they made their home in the Chatham and Sullivan area for over 40 years. He retired after 35 years from Sharon Companies of Medina where he was the Vice President of Operations and he had attended Country View Baptist Church in Sullivan. Johnny had a love for Classic Cars and he enjoyed attending car shows but his greatest joy in his life was his family.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Charlene; his children, John Paul (Laura) Hatfield of Mashallville, Rosemary Cathlene (Brian) Lade of Lodi, Sabrena Marie (Andy) Howard of Homerville and Elvis Fitzegerald (Alex Hernandez) Hatfield of Charlotte, NC; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and sisters and brothers, Goldie Bentley and Mildred ”Midge” Adkins both of Huntington, WV, Emogene Covey of Millersburg, Maxine Adkins of Cambridge, Robert Hatfield of Branchland, WV, Jimmy Hatfield of Yulee, FL and Patricia Lovejoy of Burbank and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Kenneth Allen and brothers, Rollie “Tudge” and Jeff “Jack” Hatfield.
Services will be Thursday, Dec. 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Revs. Ray Vance and Glenn Goff officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Thursday from 10:00 until time of services at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Green Valley Cemetery at Salt Rock.
