John Scott Prindle

John Scott Prindle, 60, of Creston, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023 after a long and determined battle with cancer.

John was born in Akron on March 23, 1963 to the late James and Betty (Scott) Prindle and graduated from Garfield High School in 1981.  He married Donna White on Sept. 15, 2012 and John helped raise her granddaughters, Destiny, Breanna and Faith and gave them a loving home.   John owned and operated Akron Communications and had made his home near Creston for the past 35 years.  John enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Harley Davidson.  He loved traveling on cruises and spending time at his Florida home  but his greatest joy was  spending time with family and friends and his two dogs, Harley and Toby.

Surviving is his wife, Donna; his children, Melissa (Brad) Over of Wooster and John (Sam) Prindle of North Lawrence; his six grandchildren, Brianna Over, Preston Over, Camden Over, Destiny Harper, Breanna Criss and Faith White;  a great-granddaughter, Ella Kendall; his sisters and brother, Pam (Jim) Burkhamer of Akron, Terri (Guy) Smith of West Salem and Jim  (Jeanine) Prindle of North Carolina and nieces, nephews and many friends.

Services will be Monday, July 24th at 1:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 11:00 a.m.  until time of services at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
