John Edward Duncan Jr.

John Edward Duncan Jr., 60, of Wooster, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Wooster Community Hospital. John was born July 13, 1956 in Wooster to John E. and Mary Ann (Weahry) Duncan Sr. and was a 1975 graduate of Waynedale High School. He joined the U.S. Army after graduation and served until being Honorably Discharge in 1988. He retired from the U.S. Postal service in 2011 having worked in Harrisburg, PA and moved back to the Wooster area in 2012. John was a member of the Wooster Moose Lodge and the American Legion and loved NASCAR racing and the Cleveland Browns. Surviving are his mother, Mary Ann Duncan of Fredericksburg, sons, Johnny, Jeremy and Joshua; sisters and brothers, Karen (Roger) Ball of Holmesville, Patty (Steve Friend) McIntire, Mike Duncan, Pam Coffman and Lester (Deb) Duncan all of Wooster; an adopted daughter, Virginia Smith and her sons, Ryan and Robert Dies of Wooster, several grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and his faithful companion, Cocoa. He was preceded in death by his father, John. Services will be Sunday, March 12th at 3:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Pastor Jeremiah Scadden officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Sunday.
