John Robert Delong

John Robert DeLong, 40, of Sullivan, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022 at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

John was born Aug. 22, 1981 in Medina to Darrell and Sandra (Immel) DeLong and was a 2000 graduate of Cloverleaf High School and the Medina County Care Center.  He worked for Maibach Tractor in Creston and had formerly worked for Congress Township and Frank Brothers.  John was always crazy about tractors and enjoyed going to tractor pulls and shows.

Surviving are his parents, Darrell and Sandy; his girlfriend, Sarah Dabato; aunts and uncles, Helen and Aaron Martin, Robert and Darlene Immel, Pam Boreman and Carolyn and Tim Nelson, several cousins and special friends, Sam and Mindy Gerber.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Lucille Immel and John and Kathryn DeLong.

Services will be held at a later date.  Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.  The family extends a special thanks to Scott and Cory Franks, Scott and Hallie Cantrell, Mandy Maibach, his co-workers at Maibach Tractor and the many friends for all they did during Johns’ illness.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at Wayne Savings Community Bank in memory of John marked attention, Sandra DeLong account.
