John Andre Conrad

John Andre Conrad, 65, of Orville, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024 at Akron City Hospital from injuries he received in a motorcycle accident.

John was born on Aug. 23, 1958 in Orrville to Carl J. and Brigitte (Dyck) Conrad and graduated from Smithville High School and the Wayne County Career Center.  On July 6, 1990 he married Barbara J. Croft and she survives.  He had worked at Boys Village in Wooster and was a member of Oak Grove Mennonite Church.  John loved to ride his motorcycle and he enjoyed doing yard work, planting flowers and mushroom hunting.

Surviving is his wife, Barb; his son, Michael Conrad of Orrville; his mother, Brigitte Conrad of Smithville; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Crystal Conrad of Orrville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marianna and Michael Purinton of Flagstaff, AZ and Ruth and Ron Albright of Colorado Springs, CO and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by father, Carl in 2023.

Friends will be received  on Saturday, Aug. 17th from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon at the fellowship hall at Oak Grove Mennonite Church, 7843 Smucker Rd., Smithville OH with a fellowship following at 12:00 noon.  In lieu of flowers, donation may be made on behalf of the family for expenses in care of Murray Funeral Home, 173 S.
