John Edward Anshutz

John Edward Anshutz, 85 of Shreve, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023. John was born Nov. 2, 1937 in Rittman to Russell and Jennie (Henry) Anshutz and known by family and friends at “Bud”.  He graduated from. Norwayne High School in 1955 and served in the U.S. Marine  Corp from 1956-1958. He had work for Miller Pipelines and later retired from Roberts Express. In retirement he drove for the Marion  County Library in Florida. He was a member of the Millersburg Eagles and the Wooster Moose Lodge and was an avid fisherman. Surviving is his loving wife Deltha “Cricket” who he married on Oct. 31, 1994; children, Deanna and Vince Wheatley of Nashville, Linda Lykins of Wooster and Derrick and Andrea Anshutz of Wooster; his step-children, Tammy Mullins of Robins, TN, Theodore Brewster of Silver Springs, FL and Travis and Amanda Brewster of Wooster and 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Jean Bricker and a brother, William Anshutz. Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Creston Presbyterian Church with Pastor Mike Van Arsdale officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project
