Joanne Plank Greaves

Joanne Plank Greaves, a long time resident of North Fort Myers, went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2017 In Tampa, Florida surrounded by family. Joanne was born on February 18, 1930 in Wooster, Ohio to Paul G. and Bessie (Owen) Plank. She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1952. She resided in Ohio and Illinois until 1976 when she moved to Florida. Joanne worked at U.S. Homes in Fort Myers until retirement. She was always involved in music and loved the piano. Her passions were for the church choir, barbershop of sweet Adelines, knitting, crocheting, and reading. Joanne is survived by her sons and their families, Sandra Thomas-Greaves of Willowick, Ohio and children Winston and Margaret; Jonathan and Veronica Greaves of Temple Terrace, Florida and their children Jessica, Nathan and Will; and Daniel and Annette greaves of Tampa, Florida and their daughters, Dannette and Monica and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her eldest son, David and her brother Jack Plank. In lieu of floral tributes, memorial gifts can be made to Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church, 19251 North Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers, FL 33903, (239) 567-2246.
