Joann Ratliff

JoAnn Ratliff, 84, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Akron General Medical Center.

She was born December 15, 1933 in Jolo, West Virginia and was the daughter of Harvey and Lula Belle Payne. She had a deep faith in God, had been a homemaker and a loving and protective mother. JoAnn enjoyed reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed simple things, lived life on her own terms, gave more than she received and left amazing memories with all who knew her.

Surviving are her children, Alan (Laurie) Ratliff, Lionel (Erika) Ratliff and Bernadine Russell (George Shopbell all of Wooster; grandchildren, Amanda (Derek) Schmid, Jennifer Ratliff and Caitlin Ratliff, Raymond Russell and Charles Russell and a brother, Thurman Roscoe (Carmia) Payne.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mitchell Ratliff, sons, Wendell Ratliff and Dwayne Ratliff; brothers, Raymond, Harvey, Jr. and Frank and a sister, Edith.

Private family services will be held. There will be no calling hours. Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH is assisting the family.
