Jo Ann (Ratcliff) Underwood

Jo Ann Underwood, 58, of Doylestown, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

Born on August 15, 1966, in Barberton, she was the daughter of Joe and Wanda (King) Ratcliff. Jo was a 1984 graduate of Norwayne High School. On June 29, 1985, she married the love of her life, Danny Underwood, and together they shared nearly 40 years of marriage.  Jo had a deep love for music and reading, and especially cherished the joy of live concerts. However, her greatest joy and proudest role was being "Gram" to her beloved grandson, Jackson.  She will be remembered for her kind spirit, warm heart, and deep love for her family.

Jo is survived by her husband, Danny; daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Jeffrey Trost; grandson, Jackson Trost; mother and stepfather, Wanda and John Morgan; brothers, Todd Lycans and Michael Lycans; and sister, Paula Balash.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Ratcliff; stepfather, Ray Lycans; granddaughter, Carlee Trost; infant sister, Tammy Ratcliff; sister, Deb Derenberger; and brother, Phillip Lycans.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Jo will be laid to rest at Rittman Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Murray Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
