Jerry Burns

Jerry Burns, 79, of Wooster, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022 at Danbury Senior Living in Millersburg under the care of LifeCare Hospice.

Jerry was born in Rosedale, WV on Jan. 20, 1942 and was the son of the late Aristotle and Gladys (Ball) Burns.  His family included Robert Burns, Ralph Dobbins, Delores Dobbins White and Lois Burns Ray.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1960 – 1964 and had worked at Dowell, Ohio Brass and Rex Roth in Wooster.  He had made his home in Wooster for many years and enjoyed bicycling, hiking and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Hankins) Burns who he married on Oct. 3, 2000; daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Bill LaSage of Inman, SC; grandchildren Austin and Kayla and great-grandchildren, Skylar and William.

Services will be Friday, Jan. 21st at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.   Tributes by shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
