Jerrell Allen Canfield

Jerrell “Allen” Canfield, age 82 of Sterling, OH passed away on Friday September 20, 2024 at Summa Hospital Barberton, OH after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Allen was born November 24, 1941 and raised in Birch River, WV. He is the son of the late Curtis and Maggie (Mollohan) Canfield. Proceeding him in death was ex-wife Wanda May (Jenkins) Canfield, grandson David Kenyan and siblings Ira, Flossie Spinks, Eloise Tinney, Infant Louise, Virginia Tinney, James “Jenk”, William “Denver”, Robert Paul, Mary Helen, Ellen Pauline, David and Roger. Allen worked as an auto worker for Ford Motor Company until his retirement. He was an avid coon hunter, turkey shooter, card player, coffee drinker and story teller who loved to garden. Allen loved family and friends and will be deeply missed. He leaves behind his children; daughters, Leona Burkhart, Lenora Canfield, Becky (Chris) Humphrey and Susan Canfield; son, Michael (Shannon) Bishop; siblings, Corrine Drosenos and Sandra Kay Sims; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special friends Randy and Deb Copley. Visitation will be held September 26, 2024 from 5pm-7pm at Murray Funeral Home, Creston, OH.
