Jeffrey Lee Setzer

Jeffrey L. Setzer, of Creston, died Saturday, July 10, 2021 at University Hospital in Cleveland after a brief illness.

Jeff was born November 2, 1948 in Cleveland and was the son of the late Herbert and Lois (Siburt) Setzer.  In 1997 he married the former, Carolyn (Potts) Lance and she preceded him in death on May 6, 2020. He graduated from Medina High School and had worked as a mason for many years. For the past 10 years he worked at Ken Ganley Nissan in Medina. Jeff was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed his animals and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are a daughter, Tracy; stepdaughters, Carole (Dennis) Fry, Kim O'Connor, Jennifer (Jake) Chidsey and Becky Lance; nine grandchildren, Brian and Jessie Black, Haley and Jesse Fry, Christina Rae Oblak, James and Brandon O'Connor, Paul Chidsey and Taylor Gibson; great-grandchildren, Benton, Charlotte, James, Liam, Isabella, Allen, Finny and Brynlee; brothers and sisters, Mike (Karen) Setzer, Tom (Linda) Setzer, Linda (Mark) Janowicz and Audry (Mike) Gregorek.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents and a sister, Sharon Mollohan.

Friends may call Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with a service of remembrance being held at 6 p.m. A family graveside service will be held at West Salem Cemetery at a later time.
