Jeffrey David Beery, 43, of Sterling, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025 at the Cleveland Clinic after a 20 month battle with cancer.

Jeff was born on May 18, 1981 in Wooster to Gaylord and Cheryl (Ecker) Beery and was a 2000 graduate of Norwayne High School.  On Aug. 27, 2005 he married Michelle Lynn Wolgamott and they were blessed with a wonderful life together.  Jeff owned and operated Beery Custom Woodworking and Remodeling for the past 14 years and had made his home in the Sterling area all his life.  He attended Grace Church in Wooster and was a great sports fan having enjoyed the Cleveland Browns, Cavs and Indians and Ohio State Football.  Active in his children’s sports activities, Jeff helped coach hundreds of kids over the years in youth soccer, basketball, baseball and flag football.  When Jeff wasn’t coaching, he enjoyed hanging out with his family and doing woodworking.

Jeff will be missed by his wife, Michelle; his four children, Grady, Carter, Kensi and Addi; his parents, Gaylord and Cheryl Beery of Sterling; sisters and brothers, Lynne and  her husband,Bud Kandel of Jeromesville, Rob Beery of Blachleyville, Diane and her husband, Chris Johnson of Creston, Matt Beery of Creston and Brad and his wife, Tonya Beery of Blachleyville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Clara Wolgamott of Burbank; brother-in-law, Matt and his wife Nikki Wolgamott of Burbank and nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, Feb. 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Church in Wooster with Pastor Mark Artrip officiating.  Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Wednesday, Feb. 26th for friends and family from 1-3 and 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. The family would like to invite all youth sports kids and families that Jeff coached and classmates of the kids to be able to call from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Norwayne Youth Soccer, Norwayne Youth Basketball or Norwayne Booster Club and mailed in care of Michelle at 9065 Apple Creek Rd., Sterling, OH 44276.
