Jean Gordon

Time flies, Suns rise And shadows fall. Love is forever over all. Jean “Jeannie” Gordon, 77, of Rittman passed away peacefully at her home after a period of declining health. She was born Naoma Jean on July 11, 1940 in Fort Gay, WV to the late Lewis “Luke” and Ethel Paige (Copley) Kelly. She married the true love of her life, Sid Gordon on May 15, 1970 and they cherished each other for 46 years until his passing on Aug. 14, 2016. They were member of Creston Presbyterian Church and enjoyed their home, family and pets. Surviving are their children, Shari Wells of Wooster, Todd Gordon of Rittman, Jim and Julie Gordon of Seaford, VA, Scott and Jan Gordon of Hamilton, OH and Cynthia Kelly of Michigan; also surviving are many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Lewis and Caroline Kelly of FL and niece Brenda and Tony Horton and nephew, Mike and Debby Justice all of Rittman. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James Kelly and a sister, Betty Justice. Services will be Saturday, May 19th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Bob Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
