Jean Katherine Crabtree

Jean Katherine Crabtree, 68, of Rittman and formerly of Creston, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.

Jeanie was born on Aug. 20, 1953 in Wadsworth to the late Rex and Elizabeth “Betty” (McDermott) McIlvaine and was a 1972 graduate of Norwayne High School.  She loved reading and spent many hours visiting the Rittman and Creston Libraries.

Surviving are her daughters, Heather (Michael) Wickens of Wooster and Michelle Crabtree of the home; 4 granddaughters; brothers and sister, John (Sandra) McIlvaine of Smithville, Lynne Dare of Westminster, CO, Michael (Joyce) McIlvaine of Nazareth and Donald (Tina) McIlvaine of Norton and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Butch” Crabtree and her parents.

A family service will be held with interment at Jackson Cemetery.
