Janet Laverne Gray

Janet LaVerne Gray, 80, of Wooster, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Sycamore Run Nursing Home in Millersburg after a period of declining health. Janet was born April 10, 1938 in Burbank to the late Carl E. and Jessie (Bair) Gray. She had made her home with her brother, Merle and family for 17 years and at the Wayne County Care Center for nearly 45 years having spent the last 2 years in Millersburg. Janet enjoyed crocheting and had made many afghans of the years Surviving are her sister, Iona Sigler of Wadsworth; a brother, Elwin Gray of Washington State and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Pauline Ramsier and Alpha Emig and brothers, Merle, Ray and Richard Gray. Graveside services will be held Friday, April 12th at 2:00 p.m. at Smithville Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.
