James L. Zimmerman

James L. Zimmerman, 74, of Medina, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Medina after a brief illness..

Jim was born on Aug. 20, 1950 in Lodi to the late Harry and Madeline (Kirby) Zimmerman.  He was a 1968 graduate of Norwayne High School and retired from U.S. Chemical & Plastics.  Jim loved sports, watching the Browns, riding motorcycles and cars.

Surviving are his daughters, Lisa Zimmerman of Seville and Laura Brookshire of Creston; four grandchildren, Dawson Machar, Madeline Machar, Emma and her husband Spencer Heppner and Audrey Brookshire; a great-granddaughter, Phoebe Adams; a brother, Bill and his wife Elaine Zimmerman of Columbus, IN and a sister, Becky and her husband Ron Baker of Ravenna.

Memorial services will be Thursday, April 24th at 3:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until time of services at 3:00 p.m.  Interment will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
