James Robert Robinson

James Robert Robinson, 53, of Creston, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Wooster Community Hospital after an unexpected illness.

James was born on Dec. 3, 1969 in Cleveland, OH to Jimmy and Lucille (Cavins) Robinson.  He grew up in Pikeville, KY and graduated from Johns Creek High School. He served in the U.S. Navy and on Feb. 4, 1989 he married the love of his life, Lesa Adkins who survives. James had worked for Kellogg’s, Lexington Furniture, Thomasville Furniture and the Accel Group.  He loved to cook and garden but his greatest joy was playing with his four grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife, Lesa; daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Jeremy May of Pikeville, KY; son and daughter-in-law, Jordan and Alyssa Robinson of Ft. Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Haley, Abigail, Liam and Oliver May; brother, Sherman May of Pike County, KY; sister, Leona Dugan of Lexington, KY and his mother-in-law, Rita Adkins of Creston.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Mary Jones and Joanette Mullins.

Friends may call Tuesday, June 20th from 5-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home where Pastor Larry Newsome will  conduct a brief service following the calling hours.  Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Elkins officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
