James Robert “Rock” Nawrocki, 53, of Creston, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022 at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.
He was born on Feb. 4, 1969 in Toledo to Robert Billis and Kathleen Nawrocki and was raised by his grandparents, Robert and Rosalie Nawrocki. On May 17, 2012 he married Kimberly Ann Placek and she survives. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Local Union 860 having worked as a traffic control supervisor. He was a member of the Medina Bird Club and the NRA. He was an amazing ball player who enjoyed hunting, playing Tanks and most of all attending his kids sporting events.
Surviving is his wife Kim, children, Sarah Nawrocki, Anthony Nawrocki and Rebekah (David) Nawrocki all of Findlay and Makenzie, Katlynn and Natashia Nawrocki all of the home; grandchildren, Gracein, Emma and Samuel with a grandchild on the way; his mother, Kathleen Nawrocki, his biological father, Robert Billis; brothers, David Schunk and Brian Schunk; his mother-in-law, Patricia Placek; brothers-in-law, Gary (Tracy) Placek, Scott Placek and Jeffrey (Megan) Placek and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father-in-law, Norman Placek.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Dec. 12th at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Christian Help Catholic Church in Seville with Father Ed Suszynski officiating. Friends may call Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH 44217 to help with final expenses.
