James "Jim" L. Hunt

James “Jim” L. Hunt passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Jim was born July 26, 1961 to William and Helen (McGlothlin) Hunt. He was a 1980 graduate of Norwayne High School. After school, Jim became an owner-operator for Wooster Motorways where he worked for over 30 years driving trucks. On May 3rd, 2006 Jim married Tina Johnson and they shared 21 years together. In his spare time, Jim was an avid rider of Harley Davidson motorcycles, he loved being on the road, riding with family and friends, and enjoying nature everywhere he went. He also enjoyed going to the turkey shoots at the Farmers Sportsmen’s Club in Canaan with his granddaughter Kayelyn.

Surviving is Jim’s wife Tina Hunt of Wooster, his son, Steven Hunt of Sterling; daughter, Karen Hunt of Wooster; stepson, Michael Johnson of Akron; stepdaughter, Samantha (Dan) Harden of Wooster; brothers, William “Billy” Hunt of Wooster and Donnie Hunt of West Salem; sisters, Rena (Ron) Spoonamore of Sterling and Louise Aber of North Carolina; grandchildren, Rosemary Madrill, Max (Dakota) Madrill, Kayelyn Seeling, Jesse Hunt, J Copley, and Jacob Hunt; great grandchildren Carter Madrill and Kyra Leary.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
