James A. Kelly

James A. Kelly, 91, of Wadsworth, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster after a brief illness.

Jim was born on Jan. 3, 1935, in Western Star, Medina County to James and Bessie (Brader) Kelly and graduated from Wadsworth High School. On Aug. 4, 1953, he married Roberta Ann Morrison and she preceded him in death on Dec. 17, 2022. He had been a truck driver and retired from Holland TNT. Jim enjoyed flying, riding motorcycles in his younger years and traveling.

Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jim Sanburg of Loveland, CO; son and daughter-in-law, James and Linda Kelly of Creston; 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Kelly Sanburg and Seth Byerly, Jacob and Jessica Crabtree and Matthew and Gracie Kelly; a great-granddaughter, Shelby Crabtree and a sister and brorther-in-law, Betty and Don Wilcox of Rittman.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Nelson Crabtree, a grandson, Michael Kelly, brothers and sisters, Jack Kelly, John Kelly, Dorothy Hostermann, Harriet Brattin and Margaret Madigan.

A private family services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth at a later time. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
