James E. (Jim Bo) Uhler

James E. “Jim Bo” Uhler, 57, of Sterling, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a battle with Lung Cancer.

Jim was born in Lodi on Nov. 5, 1964 and was the son of Maynard and Ruby (Morris) Uhler.  He was a 1983 graduate of Norwayne High School and had worked 25 years in the food service industry having worked at the Wooster Inn which was his favorite.  Later he cared for residents at Midwest and High Hope Homes and in recent years cared for his great-nephews and great-niece which he loved.  Jim Bo loved music, movies and fishing and he will be remembered for his sense of humor and love for family.

Surviving are his sisters, Pam Smith of Sterling, Jill Uhler and wife, Jane McCaffrey of Lagrange and Lisa and husband Steve Zuercher of Wooster; nieces and nephews, Josh and wife Meg Smith, Jillisa Smith and fiancé Ted Lanning, Christian Zuercher, Alyson and husband Adan Montes, Kelsey Zuercher and Jonah Zuercher; great-nieces and great-nephews, Connor, Carter, Jaylee, Gabriel and Adalyn and several aunts, uncles and many cousins.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at a later date.  He will be laid to rest at Maple Mound Cemetery in Creston.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
