James Joseph Gardner

James Joseph Gardner, 75, of Chippewa Lake, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jim was born June 18, 1945 in Parma to the late John Richard and June Sophia (Moczarski) Gardner and was a 1964 graduate of Cloverleaf High School,.  He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1965 -1968 and been a truck driver for 35 years having driven truck for Dave Archer Trucking in Litchfield.  He was a member of the Lodi American Legion and enjoyed his Harley Motorcycle and his Vintage El Camino.  Jim loved fishing and spending time at the lake.

Surviving is his long-time companion of 35 years, Sheila Sheppard and her family including; her mother, Gloria Sheppard of Seville; sisters, Sue (Steve) Arters of Chatham and Sandy (Chris) Dearth of Seville; brother, Jim (Kathy) Sheppard of Lafayette; his two surviving sisters, Rosemary Maahs of Washington State and Margie Barnard of Texas and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jack Gardner and a sister, Barbara Bodenski.
