Jackie Lee Ratliff

Jackie Lee “Charlie” Ratliff, 80, of Seville, passed away Sunday, March, 5, 2017 at Hospice of Medina County.

He was born Dec. 23, 1936 in Dutch near Napier in Braxton Co., West Virginia and was a 1956 graduate of Burnsville High School. Jack retired from the Ford Motor Company, Brook Park plant in 1991 with 35 years of service and was a member of U.A.W. 1250 and the NRA. He was a resident of Seville for the past 48 years and was a member of Seville First Baptist Church where he was baptized, served as a deacon, usher and trustee and was a member of the Serving Our Savior Sunday School Class. Jack was loved by family and friends, many who called him brother and dad. He showed kindness to those in need through his generosity and he could make you laugh with his funny stories and his made up words.

He is survived by his loving wife Wanda Belle (Malcomb) Ratliff who he married May 2, 1959; daughters, Natalea (Dave) Fauss of Buckeye, AZ and Sheila (Dave) Riedel of Seville; grandchildren, Joseph (Courtney) Fauss, Samantha Fauss abd Ryan Podell, Jon Bradley (Melissa) Sweiger, Jacquelyn Sweiger and Leigha Sweiger and Earl Nelson; great-grandchildren, Jackson Fauss, Brynn, Brantley and Boone Sweiger and Lilly Belle Sweiger; brother, Carl “Buck” (Catherine) Ratliff of Alum Ridge, WV; sisters, Barbara (Jim) Squires of Jane Lew, WV, Carolyn Williams of Ireland, WV and Kay (Pete) Bleigh of Buckhannon, WV, sister-in-law, Jane Gibson of Buckhannon, WV; brother-in-law, Hartsel Malcomb of Georgia and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia; mother, Bernice (Brown) Ratliff, step-father, Carl Ratliff, father, Brown Ratliff; step-mother, Thelma (Finegan) Ratliff, sisters, Kay Kelly, Janet Kyser, Joy (Sam) Weekley and brother Alfred Ratliff.

Services will be Saturday, March 11th at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Seville with Pastor Benjamin Payne officiating. Friends may call Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Additional services will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home in Flatwood, WV where friends may call two hours prior to services. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
