J. Larry Moucha

J. Larry Moucha, 86, of Lodi, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital in Akron.

Larry was born in Akron on Aug. 19, 1936 to Bryan and Jonnie (Blalock) Moucha and was a 1954 graduate of Medina High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from March 22, 1956 – Oct. 17. 1957 and had retired from Skidmore Construction after 24 years of service.  Larry had been a member of the Medina Eagles.

Surviving are his children, Lea Ann (Craig) Hickok of Pottsboro, TX and Bryan (Trisha) Moucha of Homerville; granddaughter, Ashley (Brent) Ekstedt, Brittany (David) Deresz and Shelby Moucha; great-grandson, Chambers Deresz; a sister, Shirley Ulmer of Medina, a sister-in-law, Loretta Moucha of Medina; a nephew, Steve Moucha and a niece, Lisa Vaszily.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ray Moucha and a brother-in-law, Jerry Ulmer.

Friends may call Friday, Jan. 13th from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston.  Military Honors and services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
