Irene Frances (Henning) Fry

Irene Frances Fry, 94, of Wooster, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, after a long healthy life.

Irene was born on Aug. 8, 1930, in Lodi to Glenn and Alice (Thatcher) Henning and was a 1948 graduate of West Salem High School. She retired at the age of 70 from Wayne County National Bank after 30 years of service and had made her home in West Salem and Ashland prior to moving to Wooster in 2021.  Her children were her greatest joy in life and they all were with her as were grandchildren on her last day.

Surviving are her children, Roberta F. and her husband David Parker of Midway, KY, David W. and his wife Victoria Fry of Clinton, TN, Christine M. Cover of Wooster and Joel R. and his wife Lisa Brown Fry of Wooster; her 6 grandchildren and their spouses, Aaron and Lynn Hawkins, Marc and Jo Anna Fry, Karen and Jimmy Brooks, Greg and Chastity Cover, Raunda and Yohan Ho and Ryan and Keri Cover; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren and a sister, Patricia Bowman of Wadsworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers and sister, Robert Henning, Glenn Henning, Onalee Tracy, Marge Rosen, Mary Archer and Mildred Gordon.

A family gather will be held with burial in Smithville Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
