Howard Daniel Graber

Howard Daniel Graber, 88, of Wooster, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020 after a period of declining health.

Howard was born Aug. 2, 1931 in Creston to the late Harvey D. and Sylvia (Krabill) Graber and was a 1949 graduate of Creston High School.  On Oct. 22, 1960 he married the former Kathleen Kaufman and she survives.  Howard had been a farmer all of his life and was a member of Chippewa Church of the Brethren.  He had bowled for many years, had enjoyed woodworking and attended Norwayne Sporting events. Howard loved watching and feeding the birds and had built many bird houses and feeders.

Surviving are his wife, Kathleen; children, Bernice (George) Mahaffey of Wooster, Patricia (Terry) Blackburn of Lodi and Wayne Graber of Wooster; 2 grandchildren, Adam and Amanda Blackburn; a brother, Harvey Graber Jr. of Creston;a sister, Lavina (Glenn) Showalter of Dalton and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Ilene Richard, Wilma Graber and Esther Shafer.

Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Bill Eley officiating.  Burial will be in Chippewa Church of the Brethren Cemetery.  Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 or Chippewa Church of the Brethren, 10230 Honeytown Rd., Creston, OH 44217.
