Obituary:
Henry L. Gingerich, 72, of 9043 County Road 245, Holmesville, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2016 at his home following battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 13, 1944 in Holmes County to the late Levi E. and Mary J. (Byler) Gingerich and he married Edna Miller on Nov. 2, 1967. She survives. He was a minister in the Amish Church for the past 18 years.
Surviving are his wife, Edna; children, Emma (Larry) Miller of Wooster, Millie (Raymond) Schmucker of Mio, Mich., Mary (Eli) Byler of Wooster, Lucy (Elrose) Hochstedler of Wooster, Levi Gingrich of the Home, Miriam (Manass) Hochstedler of Wooster, Daniel Gingerich of the home, Joanna (Mervin) Miller of Tiverton, Joseph (Edna) Gingerich of Bonners Ferry, Idaho and Carolyn (Simon) Yoder of Mio, MI; 34 grandchildren; 4 sister, Katie (Eli) Miller, Miriam (John) Shetler and Martha Yoder all of Fredericksburg and Malinda Miller all of Holmesville and 3 brothers, Jacob (Ada) Gingerich of Killbuck, Eli (Mandy) Gingerich of Fredericksburg and William (Anna Jean) Gingerich of Apple Creek.
Preceded in death by his parents, a step-mother Annie Caroline and 3 brothers-in-law.
Services will be Monday Nov. 21st at 9:00 a.m. at the David Shetler residence, 9097 County Road 245, Holmesville with Bishop Eli Hilty officiating. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery, Prairie Township. Friends may call anytime after 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Shetler residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
