Harriet Ann (Hattie) Lemon

Harriet A. “Hattie” Lemon, 90, of  Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021.

Hattie was born Aug. 23, 1930 to the late Arthur Brinkerhoff and Ruth (Stewart) Brinkerhoff-Curtner and was a 1948 graduate of Fredericksburg High School.  On July 3, 1948 she married Jack B. Lemon and he preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2007.

Surviving are her children, Rod (Kathy) Lemon of Fredericksburg, Linda Lemon of Holmesville and Gloria Shaw of Holmesville; grandchildren, Stacey (Holly) Shaw, Jeremy (Suzanne) Shaw, Jaclyn (Ben Hockensmith) Shaw, Mark (Melissa) Lemon, Joe Lemon, Emily Zuercher, Don Lemon Jr. and Misty Lemon; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and a brother, Max Brinkerhoff of Shreve.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, Don “Donnie” Lemon on Oct. 16, 2020, son-in-law, Bruce Shaw and brothers, George and William.

Private Family Services for Hattie and Don will be Wednesday Jan. 13th at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with burial in Fredericksburg East Cemetery.
