Harmon Scott Titler, 63, of Wooster, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Life Care Center of Medina.
He was born March 19, 1954 in Youngstown to the late Mark and Hazel (Harrington) Titler.
Harmon graduated in 1972 from Youngstown East High School. On Oct. 5, 1973, Harmon married his wife of 43 years, the former Linda Foster.
Harmon retired from the Wooster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2006 with 20 years of service and had previously worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube in Struthers. He had made his home in Wooster since 1986.
He enjoyed spending his time gardening, hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, and cooking. He was a true Pittsburgh Steelers fan and will be deeplymissed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Linda; children, Mr. Scott (Sarah) Titler of Ashland, Ms. LynannTitler(Jeremy) of Creston and Mrs. Kristy (Rick) Burkholder of Creston; grandchildren, Amber, Nick, Ethan, Corbin, Emma, Caitlin, and Abby;great-grandchild, Grayson. Surviving siblings are, Roy Titler, Lillian (Dave) Longo, Mark (Dorothy) Titler, Kevin (Lori) Titler, Amelia (Kenny) Mosser and Carrie (Richard) Simmons and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday, April 18, 2017, from 5-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH. Services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., with an hour of visitation prior. Burial will be in Canaan Cemetery. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com.
