Gregory Allen Ferguson

Gregory Allen Ferguson, 71, of Creston, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a period of declining health.

Greg was born on Oct. 27 1952 in Wadsworth to William “Newt” and Beulah (Pittman) Ferguson and attended Norwayne High School and the Wayne County Career Center.  He worked as a self-employed logger for many years in association with McIntire Basket Factory.  Greg enjoyed working outdoors and sprint car racing having been a part of his cousin Rod’s racing team at Lakeville Speedway.  He loved his dog Oreo and he is remembered for his always ready laugh and smile.

Surviving his wife, Patty Ann (Holiday) Ferguson; children, Carrie Ferguson, Gregory N. and his wife Michelle Ferguson and Natasha Pritchett; grandchildren, Kelsey, Bennie, Gabrielle, Gabriel, Lawrence, Lindsey, Lacy and Lucas; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pam and Nester Young, Karen O’Hare and Denise and Mike Molter and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Kaitlynn and his brother-in-law, Terry O’Hare.

Services will be Tuesday, March 26th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  Friends may call Tuesday from 12:00 noon until time of services.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 who took wonderful care of Greg.
