Gloria Ann Norton

Gloria Ann Norton, 79, of Creston, died peacefully on Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster following a lengthy illness. Gloria was born Oct. 8, 1936 in Creston to the late Maynard and Leta (Arnold) McMillan and was a 1955 graduate of Norwayne High School. On April 24, 1957 she married Bernard “Butch” Norton and he survives. A life resident of Creston, Gloria enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing cards with her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband Butch; children, Dawn (Bill) Morris of Cabot, AR and Terry Norton of Hudson; grandchildren, Angela Caldwell, Megan Griffith, Taylor Norton, Haley Norton, Hillary Norton and Olivia Norton; great-grandchildren, Christian and Evan Crow, Kayla and Will Caldwell and Rayleigh Griffith; brothers, Leslie (Bonita) McMillan of Creston, Dennis McMillan of Wooster and Bryan McMillan of Rittman and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant grandson, Jack Norton and brothers, Gerald and Phillip McMillan. Services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
