Glen Dale Wilmoth

Glen Dale Wilmoth, 69, of Creston, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022 at Wooster Community Hospital after a battle with cancer.

Glen was born on Oct. 25, 1952 in Ivydale, WV to Vernon and Virginia (Metheney) Wilmoth and was a 1971 graduate of Norwayne High School.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1975 – 1977 and retired from Ford Motor Co. and later retired again from Burge Trucking in Burbank.  For the past 25 years he shared his life with Carolyn Holiday and they were married on June 6, 2003.  Glen was a member of Creston Moose Lodge 1224 and loved spending time in his garage watching football with his friends and listening to music.  He enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and he will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn; his children and their spouses, Tommy and Roberta Wilmoth of Warner Robins, GA, Jessica Wilmoth of Winchester, VA., Cassidy and Heather Wilmoth and Jeramiah and Amber Wilmoth of Ivydale, WV; step-children and their spouses, Jeffrey and Kristi Holiday , Brandi and Craig Nichols and Jimmy Jervis all of Creston;  12 Grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; his mother, Virginia Cook of Ivydale, WV and brothers and spouses, Kenneth and Tamara Wilmoth of Ivydale, WV and Ronnie and Lisa Wilmoth of Rittman.  He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon and a sister, Susie Douglas.

Services will be Saturday, Jan. 29th at 12:00 noon at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Josh Chaffin and Tommy Wilmoth officiating.  Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at 12:00 on Saturday.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
