Gladys Napier

Gladys Napier, 81, of Burbank, passed away on Saturday evening, July 26, 2025, at Burbank Parke Care Center after a period of declining health.

Gladys was born in Stiltner, WV on May 4, 1944, to William Henry and Nannie Mae (Crum) Dingess and married Bobby Napier on Oct. 7, 1962.  They made their home in Burbank since 1970  where Gladys enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, sewing and crocheting. She loved caring for and watching the birds and her first love was always her grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband, Bobby; her children, Zella Underwood(Joe DeBoard) of Wooster, Brad Napier (Kim Napier) of Wooster and Ronnie Kay (Rick Kay) of Creston;  grandchildren, Tyler Underwood, Travis Underwood (Julie Underwood), Hayden Napier (Lacey Napier), Kelly Napier, Kennedy Kay and Layne Napier; great-grandchildren, Kenton, Jaycee, Carter and Wyatt Underwood and Emma and Grace Napier; sisters, Sarah Matthews, Delsie Casto, Delores Kennedy and Carla Dingess and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Napier in 2015; her parents, sister, Olive Adkins, brothers, Zebert Dingess and Charlie Dingess and infant sister, Bertha Carol Dingess.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, July 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Burbank Cemetery. There will be no calling hours at Gladys’s request.
