Gerald W. Elliott

Gerald W. Elliott, 83, of Wooster, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Jan. 28, 2019 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a lengthy illness.

He was born May 2, 1935 in Cadiz, OH to the late Aaron T. and Martha P. (Willis) Elliott and was a 1953 graduate of Smithville High School. While attending Bible College in Michigan he met the former Sandra L. Cooper and they were married April 17, 1965. Over the years he worked as a Mason, in the construction trade and as an Independent Truck Driver. He used his gift in the Mission Field having been a part of Missionary Builders in Brazil, Indonesia, Quebec and Puerto Rico. Gerald was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was an avid collector of John Deere toy tractors for many years.

Surviving are his wife, Sandy, son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Keri Elliott of North Canton; grandchildren, Angela (Terry) Rodgers and Stanley Spitzer; great-granddaughter, Cadence Rodgers; a brother, James Elliott and a sister-in-law, Carol Elliott both of Wooster and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Friday, Feb. 1stat 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 7605 Pleasant Home Rd., Sterling with Pastor Stephen Olsen officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
