George Preston Bise

George Preston Bise, 86, of Rittman, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020 at Burbank Parke Care Center after a brief illness.

George was born June 22, 1934 in Charleston, WV to the late Oscar Wilmer and Vesta M. (Ball) Bise and was a 1952 graduate of Coolville, High School.  He married the former Sara J. Metheney on July 11, 1953 and she survives.  George retired from Ford Motor Company in 1987 after 34 years of services and had made his home in Seville, Senecaville, Cambridge and Rittman.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seville and the Cambridge Grange and had been a member of the Seville Volunteer Fire Dept. for many years.  George loved golfing, camping, hunting and watching sports.

Surviving are his wife, Sara; his children, Donna Green of Fresno, CA, Pam Bise of Lodi and Rodney (Lilly Ann) Bise of Drake, CO; daughter-in-law, Glynis;  5 grandchildren, Joshua and Scott Green, Chad (Kelly), Jeremy (Maria) and Justin (Chrissy) Bise; 4 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Annabelle, Owen and Evelyn Bise and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Roger D. Bise, a son-in-law, Robert Green, his parents, brothers, Frank and Wilmer and sister, Mary Cunningham, Ava Miller, Ruth Brown, Anna Mae Washburn and Louva England Cunningham

Services will be Thursday, Oct. 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Benjamin Payne officiating.  Burial will be in Seville Mound Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call Wednesday, Oct. 14th from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  In lieu of flowers,  contributions may be made to Seville-Guilford Fire Dept., 100 W.
