Genevieve M. Williams, 85, of Holmesville, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Sycamore Run Nursing Home in Millersburg after a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 19, 1933 in Sardis to the late M. Albert and Hazel (Leggett) Stewart and was a graduate of Sterling High School. She married Kenneth Williams on Sept. 24, 1955 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1987. Genevieve had made her home in Holmesville since 1969 and enjoyed gardening, cooking and camping. She was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeye fan but her greatest joy was her family.
Surviving are her children, Harry (Deb) Williams of Creston, Kathy (Art) Brown of Holmesville and Mary (Don) Tillapaw of Brewster; 6 grandchildren, Shelly Fuqua, Craig Williams, Ken Brown, Mike Brown, Kathy Taylor and Nicole Tillapaw; 8 great-grandchildren and a sister, Leona Weirick of Wooster.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Ruth Rowe and brothers, Dale and James Stewart.
Services will be Saturday, March 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Rev. Matt Rowe officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Township Cemetery.
