Gary Lee Tooley

Gary Lee Tooley, 74, of Rittman, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, Feb. 17, 2025. He is now in the presence of the Lord.

He was born on June 25, 1950 in Logan, WV to James and Virgie (Brunty) Tooley and attended Logan High School.  On Jan. 30, 1970 he married Cora Chambers who survives.  Gary retired from the Packaging Corp. of America in Rittman after 35 years and had made his home in Rittman over 50 years.  He was a member of the South Main St. Church of God.  Gary enjoyed trips to the beach and spending time with his grandbabies.

Surviving is his wife, Cora; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Heather Tooley of Rittman; son, Brandon Tooley of Orrville; grandchildren, Layla, Gavin and Gabriel; sisters and brother, Dede (Dick) Loveday, Patricia “Dale” Whitt and Larry (Pam) Tooley and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred, Ray and Johnny and sisters, Glenna Cline, Velma Noe, Freda Murry and Matilda “Mousie” Owsley.

There will be a celebration service for Gary at the South Main St. Church of God in Rittman on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 3:00 p.m.
